Wild Encounters is an ideal location for animal lovers of all ages! With interesting and entertaining animal feeds and talks to listen to there's plenty to spend a few hours at Wild Encounters! Just a short drive outside Newcastle West, Wild Encounters is a growing animal park with a mix of high animal welfare, fun and education values at its core. Close to other local attractions such as the Desmond Castle and the Limerick Greenway, and just off the main Limerick road to other popular holiday destinations such as Killarney, Wild Encounters is a great trip out as part of an exploration of the local area. Our informative and amusing daily keeper feeds and talks about some of the animals here help to add a little extra to your visit and are sure to spark your interest in the natural world, whether you are a family on a fun day out or a school tour looking for some educational fun. For it's size, Wild Encounters boasts a great range of domestic and exotic animals from meerkats and parrots, to pigs, goats and even reptiles and bugs in our purpose built reptile house, so there's sure to be something of interest for everyone! Bring a picnic, or enjoy the hot and cold drinks, pizza, small selection of snacks and ice creams/lollies we have available to purchase along with a selection of souvenirs while the kids also enjoy the swings, climbing wall and twisty slide on the play area.
