Oceanics Surf School has been leading the way in the surfing industry for over 25 years! A family run enterprise, Oceanics brings surfing to over 7,000 people a year through groups, school tours, surf camps and family lessons. With the owner's backgrounds in cliff rescue, RNLI, lifeguarding and tourism along with a team of highly trained staff, the onus is on safely encouraging the participant to experience the thrills of surfing in an environment of fun participation. Let's be real though, you're about to get hooked on one of the fastest growing and most beneficial sports in Ireland today! While there are competitive sides to surfing, we prefer to nurture each person through confidence building and personal goal setting. We work with each individual at their own pace, ensuring that fun is to the forefront of each of our sessions. We live the surf lifestyle in all it's stereotypical glory of "hangloose" & "take it easy brah", so we do our very best to incorporate that into our teaching philiosophy. That being said, should you need a bit more from our excellent coaches, they will be more than happy to give you the tuition you need to develop their surfing even further. So whether you are looking to build on your skills or just coming to have a good time, Oceanics' dedicated team are ready to extend that helping hand and make sure that you will finish each session grinning from ear to ear, because, as every good coach knows; "the best surfer out there is the one with the biggest smile" Booking is essential. All equipment is included as well as your wonderful instructor
Example of a lesson format:

2:00pm Arrive at Oceanics Surf School @ The Red Cottage in Tramore where you will be welcomed. You will be asked to fill in a lesson registration form (just takes 5mins, not too detailed).

2:00pm Those that are taking part in our surf lesson will gather on our deck area for a safety talk and introduction to your instructor(s).

2:10pm All participants will be given a wetsuit, and will get changed in allocated changing areas.

2:25pm Landbased instruction on the deck (A good time for photos). A quick 10 minute lesson and then it's time to hit the beach! 

2:40pm A quick practice on the beach and then together with your instructor(s), everybody enters the water, where the fun begins.

3:40pm Back to Oceanics, shower off and get changed. 

4:00pm Ready to depart Oceanics, exhilarated and looking forward to coming back!!
