With Scenic Lough Foyle Ferry your coastal adventure can be even more exciting! The service offers a twenty-minute ferry service across the iconic Lough Foyle connecting Northern Ireland’s ‘Causeway Coastal Route’ to Ireland’s ‘Wild Atlantic Way’, from its terminals located at Greencastle, Co. Donegal and Magilligan Point in Northern Ireland. Whether walking, cycling, driving or on a tour, visitors can experience Wild Atlantic Way destinations like Malin Head, Ireland’s most northerly point and filming location for Star Wars or Greencastle itself with its own Northburgh Castle and Planetarium. On the Causeway Coast you will find popular destinations such as Ballintoy Harbour, filming location for Game of Thrones and Dunluce Castle based in Portrush. Whichever direction your travelling, you can enhance your journey by taking in the stunning panoramic views of the iconic Lough Foyle as we take you to your next adventure. This cross-border ferry service operates daily from May to September, between Greencastle, Co. Donegal and Magilligan Point, Derry~LondonDerry. Sailings commence at 9am from Greencastle and then operate as a nonstop shuttle service until the final sailing from Magillian at 8.15pm. Experience unparalleled views of the Benevenagh Mountains and the various historic and unique sites, that can be enjoyed from the visitor upper viewing deck area, as you cross the Lough bordering Ireland and Northern Ireland. *The ferry carries all categories of vehicles incl: Cars, Coaches (up to a maximum of 7 meters long), Caravans, Campervans & Motorbikes *The service operates between June and August with up to 40 sailings per day during peak summer months *Nonstop shuttle service commencing at 9.00am daily from Greencastle with the final sailing departing Magilligan at 8.15pm *Sailing time is approximately 20 mins
