Kinnegar Brewing

Visit one of Ireland's best loved independent breweries. The welcoming taproom at Kinnegar's K2 production facility in Letterkenny offers visitors a chance to take a peek into brewery life whilst sampling some of the many beers made here. The taproom features a large line-up of taps with plenty of choice for every palate. You will find a mixture of the classic beers such as Scraggy Bay (which recently won a gold European Beer Star!) as well as more seasonal or small batch releases that will vary from month to month. Standing for Taproom Only, the exciting TRO series of beers is available only here. To date the TRO series has featured a Smoked Pineapple Sour, Coffee Kelp Stout, and Barrel-Aged Imperial Brown Ale! The friendly staff are on hand to give recommendations, answer any questions and generally help you enjoy your time at the brewery. The atmosphere is relaxed with a warm welcome given (to dogs also), even on cold winter afternoons. Food is available from local food trucks who enjoy a residency at the brewery. For those looking to learn a little bit more about the brewing process, Kinnegar offers three different types of tours: 1) The Introductory Tour is just that, an introductory video tour. The price is included in your first drink so you'll get a brief overview of the site for no extra cost 2) The Advanced Tour - 45 minutes and includes a free glass of beer in the taproom afterwards. A great way to see how beer is made, the essential ingredients and processes that are used to craft the perfect pint. €10 per person 3) The Deep Dive Tour - 90 minutes and includes a generous amount of beer samples as you wander from malt loft to fermentation area to the packaging line.
