Glenroe Farm

Overview

3h
Glenroe Farm offers a fun filled family day out in one of Wicklow’s top tourist attractions, ideally located on the North Wicklow coastline in the picturesque village of Kilcoole. Glenroe Farm is home to a wide variety of friendly farm animals, including horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, sika deer, alpacas and fowl. With close and easy access to the animals, there is an opportunity for all ages to learn the beautiful nature of our farm animals. The farm has a Pets Corner and Bunny Patch to meet some of our smaller furry friends, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and chinchillas. They are all happy to introduce themselves to our visitors! Our Nature Walk takes you from the open farm down to the Wicklow coastline, with stops along the way to exhibit the wildlife flora and fauna on the farm. The wooded Fairy Garden is a tranquil and magical area for all to explore. We have two spacious playgrounds, a well-equipped outdoor playground with views of the Sugarloaf and, for the not so perfect day, an indoor playground with a sandpit, obstacle course and games. Have fun in Ireland’s first Maize Maze! Go on a mission to find 10 escaped pigs in Pig Out, our maze game, and find your way out again! Open seasonally from July to October. Glenroe Farm is famous for its role on the Irish soap 'Glenroe'. Dinny's thatched cottage still stands in our front yard at 400 years old providing an insight into our heritage.
