The Ballinglen Museum of Art is located adjacent to Ballinglen Arts Foundation in the beautiful coastal town of Ballycastle in County Mayo. The first museum devoted to contemporary art in the west of Ireland, it contains an archive of almost 800 works created over 28 years by Ballinglen Fellows who have visited the region and become part of the very fabric of the community. Inspired by the local landscape, each piece of work has a poignancy as it relates to presence and time in response to this wild and wonderful land and seascape. Take the opportunity to create a piece of art with a workshop led by internationally renowned artists who have an intimate knowledge of the local area and it’s awe-inspiring beauty. Participants have access to the extensive library plus the support of the experienced, knowledgeable and supremely helpful staff, all of whom are from the local area. Exhibitions change on a regular basis. Stoney Road Press : Twenty Years – A Survey

From its base in The Docklands Area of Dublin 3 Stoney Road Press has primarily concentrated on working with Irish and International painters - using multiple complex printmaking media sympathetic to their main practise .This show represents 20 years of achievement by an energetic and entrepreneurial Irish enterprise. From its Dublin base Stoney Road travels to exhibit at major international art fairs including London, Miami, New York, Dublin.

 This exhibition, selected by Director David O’Donoghue, includes powerful works by :

Donald Teskey, Patrick Scott, Barbara Rae, James Kennedy, James Earley, Monica Lundy, Blaise Drummond, Richard Gorman, Michael Canning, Eilis O’Connell, Kathy Prendergast, Bill Rock, John Fitzsimons, Kelvin Mann, Leah Hewson, Felicity Clear, Brian O’Doherty, Dorothy Cross, Amelia Stein, Mick O’Dea. Each of these artists has an international following and exhibition history.

The exhibition itself is an important event on the visual arts calendar. It has been generated and curated by The Ballinglen Museum of Art in partnership with Stoney Road Press in memory of the co-founder James O’Nolan (1952-2018).
